Truckline ‘reels’ in a winner

Truckline’s recent ‘Reel Deal’ promotion gave customers all over Australia the chance to win a Quintrex 430 Escape Boating Package valued at over $19,000. Customers who spent $150 or more between April and June at any of Truckline’s 22 branches were invited to enter the competition – but it was Ryan Bradford from Mackay who was lucky enough to take out the prize.

Ryan is a manager for P.F.T. which is a farm that grows cane crops. Mackay is well known for its farming and mining. Ryan looks after the farm as well as arranging repairs and servicing for all of the company’s machinery. He is a fairly new customer to Truckline and had shopped and entered the competition at the Mackay branch.

Ryan has always been happy with the service he receives from the Mackay branch, but when Truckline called to tell him he had won the ‘Reel Deal’ competition, he couldn’t believe it.

On July 19, the competition was drawn by James Meyer, a recent addition to the Hyundai A-League’s Brisbane Roar soccer team.

Truckline’s Mackay branch manager, Mike Joyce, commented, “It was such a nice surprise to find out that a customer from our branch was the winner of the boating package. It is good to see something so great come out of this promotion. On the day we handed over the prize, Ryan was extremely appreciative and very happy.”

The boat was picked up from Sugar City Marine, the local Quintrex dealer in Mackay. Truckline said that Quintrex had been very supportive of the promotion and were keen to get the boat straight to the competition winner.

“The ‘Reel Deal’ promotion has been great, and judging by the amount of entries we received, it certainly created a lot of interest,” added Mike. “The Mackay branch had one of the largest number of entries of the 22 Truckline branches throughout Australia. We had great participation from our customers and it was fantastic to see so many people get involved in the promotion.”
